This sculptural basket from northern Ghana holds a wave mid-motion: flowing crimson curves that shift as the light and your angle change. The undulating silhouette takes traditional elephant grass weaving somewhere contemporary. Use it as tabletop storage or let it stand alone as a form; it earns the spot either way.

It’s woven from elephant grass dyed a deep crimson, worked into wave shapes while the grass is still moist, holding curves that no mold or frame ever touched. Roughly twenty inches across. One of a kind.

Best displayed on horizontal surfaces where its full silhouette can be read: console tables, low shelving, or open-plan interiors. The crimson tones bring warmth to neutral spaces and pair well with both modern and organic interiors.
