A note from Jen — This is the whole room: baskets from Panama, Colombia, Rwanda and Ghana, woven masks and fish from the Emberá, spirit dolls from one Ticuna family, muñecas made in pairs. I picked every piece myself, and when I know the weaver's name, it is on the page. Every one is one of one. When it's gone, it's gone.

A compact Agaseke series at approximately 16 inches tall — the same traditional Rwandan coil weaving as our tall floor sculptures, scaled for tabletop, shelf, or entryway grouping. Hand-dyed sisal over coiled sweetgrass, wrapped in deep red and black geometric patterns.
Woven by the same Gahaya Links cooperatives that produce our tall Agaseke. Each piece carries the same craft lineage and the same national symbol — the Agaseke appears on the Rwandan national seal and is known as the basket of peace.
